A Very Special Goals-For-A-Cure Trophy

The Sporting ’94 Boys won the 2008 District Cup last weekend, and three team parents surprised the boys by converting a plain trophy into a one-of-a-kind custom Goals-For-a-Cure trophy to mark the inauggrual year of this event. Don Lazzarini painted-on the pink jersey and black shorts black, then Mike Pierce carefully scripted the Santa Clara Sporting logo on the chest of the jersey, and finally, Cassie Escobar shrank and printed the Sporting logo then glued it to the uniform. You can click on the photo to see a larger image and all the details…they even got the Goals-for-a-cure logo on the jersey too. Talk about a team effort! This is certainly going to be a memorable trophy sitting in the Sporting Trophy Case 🙂
